“Operation Ninja Turtle Exposes Over 2,200 Pedophiles Worldwide: Swiss Police”

More than 2,200 pedophiles have been exposed around the world over the course of several years thanks to Operation Ninja Turtle, AFP reported. Swiss police announced yesterday that they secretly launched the Internet operation in 2012.

The Swiss police then received information that a person residing in the canton of Aargau was distributing “illegal pornographic material” under the pseudonym “Ninja Turtle” via the GigaTribe platform, which allows anonymous data exchange.

The investigation led to the arrest that same year of the man behind the nickname “Ninja Turtle”. This turned out to be a 62-year-old German who was convicted in 2015, according to a press release from the Aargau cantonal police.

The Swiss police then decided to use his profile to expose other pedophiles.

“The covert operation carried out on the Internet for several years has been crowned with success” with more than 2,200 redophiles exposed, the police in Aargau reported.

Arrests were made in Switzerland, Croatia, Brazil, France, Peru, Romania and Spain, the press release said.
