Operation Hope: The Lost Children of the Amazon Documentary Premieres on Prime Video

Prime Video unveiled its next documentary Operation Hope: The lost children of the Amazonwhich tells the story of May 1, 2023, when four children were on board a small plane that crashed deep in the Amazon.

Not only did the children survive the accident, but they spent 40 days alone in the jungle until they were finally rescued on June 9. This documentary shows the real story of how the rescue developed with the first operation between the army and native rescuers and includes testimonies from the people who experienced the research, and from the children as they told their family.

Operation Hope: The lost children of the Amazon produced by Emporium Productions and directed by Tom Cross. Written and executive produced by Emma Read, with Dollan Cannell as showrunner, Oliver Schmieg as producer and Kathy Hale as production director.

The documentary features the participation of Brigadier Pedro Sánchez, Commander of the Joint Special Operations Command of the Armed Forces, Colombian Army, who led Operation Hope; Eliecer Muñoz, a native leader and member of the Native Guard who found the children; Dairo Mucutuy, the children’s uncle; Fatima Valencia, the children’s grandmother; Yeritza Mucutuy, the children’s aunt; and Luis Acosta, National Coordinator of the National Guard, among other great credentials. Operation Hope: The lost children of the Amazon narrated by Gloria Emilse Martínez Perea, better known as Goyo, the singer, producer and co-founder of ChocQuibTown.

Operation Hope: The lost children of the Amazonpremieres on April 26 and will be available on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories.
