The new Serbian opera diva Maria Jelic started a serious professional career only a few years ago, but has already won the sympathy of listeners and critics in many countries around the world.

Conductor Atvars Lakstīgala, who had a collaboration with Marija Jeličs last summer when she was the lead soloist at the Giacomo Puccini Opera Bohemia in a new production at the Jerusalem Lyrical Opera Festival in Israel, this singer is called one of Europe ‘s rising stars.

Festival Liepaja summer The opening concert will feature captivating opera melodies by Giuseppe Verdi, Giacomo Puccini, Richard Wagner, Franz Lehar, Pietro Maskanji, Anton Rubinstein and Rugero Leonkavallo.

As previously reported, this year’s festival Liepaja summer will return to their historic home – Liepāja Jurmala Park, the renovated concert garden Blow wind!, where in three concerts listeners will be given a great wealth of genres, styles and eras. On August 5, the festival invites to a symphonic music concert with the participation of pianist Vestards Šimkus and saxophonist Oskars Petrauskas, with Guntis Kuzmas at the conductor of the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra.
