During her career spanning nearly fifty years, Ludwig has performed on all major stages in the world. She once described her work in the spotlight, surrounded by other luminaries of classical music, as ‘living in a dream world’. Outside of the opera she preferred to put on blinders because only a perfect performance mattered to her. Ludwig was also known as a singing teacher.
