Opening weekend ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ is through the roof!

Both in the States and worldwide, the cinemas are filling up Spider-Man: No Way Home. The opening weekend in the States came in at $253.0 million. Around $150 million was predicted.

The fat $250 million is just below the $257.7 score of Avengers: Infinity War, but just a little more than the start of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, at $248.0 million. Still in the lead Avengers: Endgame at $357.1 million.

Globally, the score is also startling. It raised $587.2 million. Good for a third place, behind Infinity War ($640.5 million) and Endgame ($1,223.6 million). A score of $290 million to $500 million was previously thought among the most optimistic of analysts.

Another newcomer to the States has been well received Nightmare Alley from Guillermo del Toro, worth only about $3.0 million.
