Earlier this year it was Isabelle Ringnes (35) mother for the second time to another boy. A mum-of-two has revealed what it was like to give birth just 15 months after giving birth to her first child.

Ringnes hadn’t even had time to get a regular menstrual cycle back before she and her boyfriend Skage Grønneberg (42) met on the first try.
As with the entrepreneur’s first birth, there were more problems when the son came into the world. But still, she praises the birth experience.
A dramatic start
When Ringnes hosted “Fødselpodden” recently, directed by Tuva Fellman, she revealed several details about the birth. Among other things, she said that it all started in a wonderful way, and that she had to start when problems were discovered.
In the program, Ringnes makes no secret that she felt alone and ignorant during large parts of the birth.
Especially since her son’s pulse had dropped and, according to her, she had been lying in the hospital bed for several hours unattended. Admittedly, this was before she was in the final stages of labor.
– In the end I grabbed a midwife and said “Hey, should I start or not? Because right now I feel that no one sees me, and I’m lying here and I’d rather go home if nothing is going to happen during the night, says Ringnes in the podcast.
She makes sure that the hospital understood how badly the expectant mother of two was looked after.
Bring out the son
The rest of the birth was a better experience for the 35-year-old and she says it gave him unique experiences.
She describes it as a “dream birth”, mostly because it only took 40 minutes of pushing before her son was out. And in a rather unconventional way:
– I looked down at him, I grabbed him under the arms, then the contraction came and I pulled him up. That was the real “Lion King” moment, says the 35-year-old.

So the son was born in the familiar Kardashian style. For those who don’t know the reference, reality star Kourtney Kardashian also chose to pull out her own children at the end of her birth on the TV show “Keeping up with the Kardashians”.
Ringnes tells Nettavisen that the inspiration did not come from there, but from the midwife:
– It was the result of the midwife’s spontaneous request, she says to Nettavisen.
A lost sight
None of Ringnes’s births have been without complications, and in the birth podcast she reminisced about her first birth.
Ringnes was given medication to prepare her for childbirth, but it caused unexpected complications:
– It was something that was supposed to clean the cervix and make it older. And the last time I caught it, I lost my sight, she remembers.

Talking to Nettavisen, Ringnes says that she does not remember the name of the medicine, but she points out in the “Fødselpodden” that this is a side effect that is not talked about that much. At the hospital, apparently they didn’t know what it was right away.
Therefore, the entrepreneur was careful that she managed without that drug during the second birth, and managed well with an epidural.
