Al-Akhbar (Nouakchott) The committee in charge of managing and distributing the Public Support Fund for the Mauritanian private press announced the opening of the door to apply for awards for journalism excellence, starting today, Thursday.
According to a statement by the committee, it receives the press materials nominated for the 2023 competition during official working hours until April 25, 2023, at the committee’s secretariat at the headquarters of the Supreme Authority for Press and Audiovisual.
According to the same source, applications for the award are open to works completed in Arabic, Polar, Sononic, Wolof, and French, while materials produced between April 20, 2022, and April 20, 2023 are accepted.
In the topics, the committee stipulated that it deal with any angle of a main topic (the cultural radiation of Mauritania, flags and landmarks), and that it was broadcast or published in one of the Mauritanian or international media.
The committee also stipulated that the owner of the product be Mauritanian, and that it be subject to the editorial and technical values and rules that are recognized professionally, that the written texts should not exceed 1,000 words and be no less than 500, and that the duration of the radio or television report should not exceed three minutes and not less than a minute and a half.
