On August 12, 2009, at 7 p.m., the exhibition “Bulgarian Photography – Selected” opens in the National Art Gallery.
The exhibition, which is among the most significant photographic events of the last 20 years, provides a kind of review of the history of Bulgarian photography for the period 1916-2009. It presents 381 photographs by over 100 of the most prominent Bulgarian authors over the years.
The name “Chosen” is not accidental, as the exhibition is organized on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the National Association “Photographic Academy” and presents the best of the organization’s archive, which numbers 5,600 works.
