Opening of a new private psychiatric clinic in Diddenuewen

A new private psychiatric clinic recently opened on Rue des Pyramides on the site of the former Paul Valéry college in Diddenuewen (Thionville), in front of the municipal swimming pool.

Managed by Clinea, a subsidiary of the Orpea group which has 354 establishments in France to treat physical and psychological dependence, the structure has 95 places, including 80 beds. It fills a glaring lack of mental health care in Northern Lorraine since the transfer of the psychiatric service from the former Beauregard Hospital to Diddenuewen in Hayange. However, this one who could no longer accommodate all the patients in the sector. The latter were then generally redirected away from their homes to Jury or Lorquin Specialized Hospital Centers (CHS) before the opening of this new establishment.

Clinea intends to become a true partner of Metz-Thionville Regional Hospital Center (CHR) and city medicine. The site is therefore made up of a day hospital which has an independent entrance, consultation and activity rooms and a convivial space. The mental health clinic has 37 beds for adults with no age limit, fourteen places for teenagers from twelve to fifteen years old, twenty places for young people from sixteen to 25 years old and 17 places for people. hospitalized under constraints which are addressed by emergencies. Clinea takes care of patients suffering from depression, behavioral disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders or eating disorders such as anorexia. The interior of the structure has been furnished with care and presents many living spaces, like the rooms reserved for activities, sports or even art therapy. Terraces have also been built, as has a restaurant.

Finally, it should be noted that around a hundred people, including around ten doctors, are called upon to work at the Clinea de Diddenuewen. A second of the same kind should soon see the light of day in Toul.
