OpenAI’s ChatGPT Android App Update Allows Users to Edit Messages After Sending

The ChatGPT application for Android allows users to quickly access the OpenAI chatbot and some of its features, without using the company’s website directly.

And soon, the application may get some new features. One of them is the ability to edit messages after they are sent. This system is already available in the web version, but now it will be accessible to anyone who uses the application on Android.

According to user search AssembleDebug, OpenAI is testing the new ability to edit the message after it was placed in beta version 1.2024.115. In this way, users can make small corrections to the text, to send a new request to the OpenAI systems.

To use this function, you just need to press and hold the sent message, and “Edit” should appear among the options. In this way, users can change the messages sent without making a new request, writing everything from the beginning.

This new feature, for now, is only available for the Beta version of the Android app, but it is expected to reach more users in the coming days.
