Lthe vast majority of traders will open their doors according to their regular schedule. For the exact opening hours, the public is invited to communicate directly with the merchants. Note that the shopping centers will be closed.

The SAQs will be open according to their schedule in effect since the start of the pandemic. The SQDCs will close. The majority of Desjardins credit unions and banks will also be closed on July 1.

The buses of the Capital Transport Network (RTC) and those of the Société de transport de Lévis will operate according to the Sunday schedule. However, the RTC Late Night service will not be offered.

The two ferries between Quebec and Lévis will follow the Saturday schedule.

On both banks, the libraries will be closed.

In Quebec, water games, parks and outdoor pools will be open to citizens who want to cool off while respecting the various public health guidelines.

In Lévis, community centers and outdoor pools will be open to the public for July 1.

Municipal services

Essential municipal services such as police, fire protection or water treatment will be maintained day and night. The public is invited to contact 9-1-1 for any emergency requiring the police, firefighters or paramedics.

To report an emergency concerning water and sewer systems, street lighting or the condition of the roadway, Quebec City residents can call 3-1-1 and choose the option

1 or download the new 3-1-1 Ville de Québec application to request simple municipal services such as a pothole report.

The collection of garbage and recyclable materials will be maintained according to the usual schedule in Quebec City as in Lévis. The ecocentres will be open on July 1 according to their summer schedule. The exact times are available on the websites of the two cities.

With regard to Quebec parking lots, a certain tolerance is already in effect in several areas where parking lots are limited. Street parking in front of toll kiosks will be free. The parking lots on rue de la Maréchaussée remain chargeable at all times in order to prevent any inconvenience and to preserve good traffic in front of the police station and the municipal court.

In Lévis and in Quebec, most of the administrative offices have been closed since the start of the pandemic. They will therefore not be open on July 1st.
