Open letter to Jerry Jones

Dear and eternal Mr. Jones,

Since you don’t know me and everything indicates that you never will, allow me to address you. I am writing to you from Spain, a wonderful country in southern Europe. No, not Mexico, I already know that you finance well, but geography, just right. You know, paella, bullfights and so on, on the other side of the pond. Specifically, from my house we are more or less, kilometer up, kilometer down, about 8319.66 km. I know that for you, at the moment, nothing I say sounds familiar to you, nor does it matter to you. Probably during the entire letter, there is nothing that resonates with you or that matters to you, but I exercise the right to tantrum that every good fan has. Jones Jones Jones Jones

I understand that our importance as fans is rather relative or non-existent, but you have to know that there are people around these parts who care a lot about the franchise and to give you an idea, the games of the Cowboys which are usually in primetime, We see them on Sundays from 10:25 PM to 1:30 PM in the second shift and from 2:25 to 5:25 in the early morning, in many cases sleeping for two hours to start the workday on Monday. It is not that it is different in any other team that plays at that time, but it is to make you understand that from here, an effort is made to follow the games live and be connected with the people of the American continent.

Taking into account that we cannot make you put our country on the map, there are people who passionately follow the team and although it is assumed that our sport is soccer, with patience, discipline and a lot of “self-teaching”, we have learned the concepts main ones to be able to follow this wonderful sport.

Therefore, understanding that we are Latinos. Don’t take us for fools, because in any company (I don’t know in the US), at least here in Europe, a manager, if he doesn’t achieve success in 30 years, is fired. Come on, in some case in 3 months. But the 30-year thing is already crazy. Stop playing Simcity in the form of a franchise and please step aside.

Questions for Jerry

I have a few questions that I positively know will not receive answers:
– What is it about having a Head Coach/playcaller that became obsolete in 2012?
– Why are you NEVER going to bet on young people with fresh ideas?
– Why are you not able to make any changes when something goes wrong or fire a bad worker when he or she has demonstrated incompetence and failure to meet objectives?
– What sports criticism do you make when you see that the playbook that is offered in attack is more worthy of a 4th row high school team or a player of Madden in an easy way, not from a team with such an entity and winner of five super bowls?
– What is this lack of aggressiveness and planning in free agency year after year? Someone who loves you should tell you that the good players available are at the beginning that it seems that everyone gives you a lot of attention but no one is able to say it.
– What is it about waiting to renew key players, late, overpaid and when the market is going to make the operation more expensive than months ago, being just as clear, would have cost, if not half, a little less than half?
– Why do you obsess over players who have already had their moment and that one has clearly passed and on top of that, you force the staff to give them more snaps What other players who deserve it more? (yes, I’m talking about Zeke)
– Why don’t you talk to people who live in the 21st century and let them advise you for once in your life?
– How do those of you who are there make stars of this league look like normal players?
– How do you make us believe that a team that has been fighting to be a national contender never ends up being one and we always have to suffer the shame of being eliminated instead of pride for a very good year and satisfaction for landing on our feet?

I’ve been following this team since 1993 and even watching it win, I’m reaching my limit. But we even have a podcast!!!

From this distant point of your particular world, I ask you to react because it is very hard, having to agree with the “haters”, it is useless to have money in the bank and appear on the lists. Forbes, yes when taking out our expensive merchandising from the team to the street, any fan makes us red-faced year in and year out.

I suppose that all these questions are asked only by me, those of you who are in Texas know more about this than anyone, but at the very least, I think I speak on behalf of myself and some other fan of America’s team.

Waiting since the end of the 90s for a reaction from you, today and always,

¡¡¡GO COWBOYS!!!
