Looking for a new way to explore Chicago? This is your chance with Open House Chicago 2024.

Produced by the Chicago Architectural Center (CAC), Open House Chicago (OHC) is a free annual festival that takes visitors on walking tours of some of Chicago’s most significant architectural and historical sites.

In 2024 the 14th edition of OHC will be held, and attendees can expect new and interesting visits and activities. This year’s eventwhich will take place on October 19 and 20 will tour more than 170 locations in more than 20 neighborhoods, including 25 new locations.

New sites for 2024

Among the new locations is the newly renovated Ramova Theater in Bridgeport. It is a nearly 100-year-old institution that sat empty for more than 30 years before reopening its doors in February of this year as a live music venue, restaurant and brewery.

Also on this year’s list is the historic Chess Studio, former recording location for some of the most important Chicago blues groups.

Additionally, guests will have the opportunity to visit the Bronzeville’s Al-Sadiq Mosque and the Driehaus Museum’s Murphy Auditorium. Click here to see the full list of locations.
