Concern, curiosity and enthusiasm have been reflected on the faces of the little ones who visited the Command of the Córdoba Civil Guard in your open day. The dogs of the cynological unit or the helicopter of the aerial unit that has traveled from Seville have been some of the attractions that have aroused the greatest expectation in the 1,000 schoolchildren from the capital and province who have passed through the premises to observe and interact with the different units.
This is an activity that is part of the programming organized by the Benemérita during the week to commemorate the day of its patron saint, the Virgin of the Pilar which is celebrated this Saturday, October 12.
“It is important for children to learn why their parents cannot be there on their birthday or on a specific date,” explained the companion of Victor and Leandroboth sons of civil guards, who did not miss the appointment today and went individually to the Command. The traffic motorcycles and the Seprona are what the brothers liked the most, as they did not stop asking questions and interacting with Bady, the cynological unit’s dog.
The students of CEIP Colón – around a hundred, including those in second, third and fourth Primary, plus another group of Infants – did not want to miss the event either. As their teachers have explained, the helicopter and the dogs are what have aroused the most interest in the little ones since they entered through the door of space.
Another of the schools that has participated in the activity is CEIP Eduardo Lucena which, in total, has moved 400 of its students to the city center. “They are loving it. They are going up, down and interacting with everything,” says one of the teachers.

The subdelegate of the Government in Córdoba, Ana Lopez, He indicated, during his visit to the event, that it is “an important day” that makes visible the “very important work that the Civil Guard does.” “We have magnificently prepared professionals,” which is why, López said, it is necessary that “citizens recognize the work” and the different actions carried out by the different units “so that they can see how they work.”
For his part, the chief colonel of the Civil Guard Command of the province, Ramón María Clemente Castrejón He explained that “we want to open ourselves to the people of Córdoba who want to get to know us” and specified that this activity is a “showcase” to show the work being done in operations such as the Califa-Blíster-23 which, after six months of work, has dismantled an organization that was dedicated to the cultivation and trafficking of marijuana in the province.
Clemente has also pointed out that among the challenges of the Civil Guard in the coming months is the olive harvesting campaign that will begin soon to prevent robberies and thefts in the countryside.
