An idea that should have been explored by more franchise owners considering the success that Nintendo has achieved with Super Smash Bros Ultimate so far. That’s right, we’re talking about a light and fun fighting game that brings together iconic characters from various franchises in the same space, while maintaining their respective identities through a measure of strength and attack animation. This is what Warner Bros. has done with its newest fighting game – MultiVersus, which has finally entered the open beta period. Unfortunately, it also comes with bad news for gamers in Indonesia.
The open beta period for MultiVersus is finally open on all available release platforms. On Steam, this game immediately gained popularity momentum with an impressive number of players, the result of a combination of the concept and free-to-play distribution that it carried. The open beta of MultiVersus on Steam had touched the peak players of up to 144,546 concurrent players, which is of course fantastic for a fighting game!
Unfortunately, a thousand dear, Indonesian gamers cannot participate in the same hype. For some reason, the MultiVersus open beta is not available in the Indonesian Steam region due to the regional lock decision taken. There is no further information on whether this will last forever or if there will be a point at which this game will be available for more regions, including in Indonesia. Unfortunately, the same condition also occurs for Playstation gamers in the Indonesian region.
Given this situation, it’s safe to say that WB Games has managed to do a fantastic job with MultiVersus. The next question is, can its popularity last long? Let’s just wait.
