The first ship carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza left the port of Larnaca this morning shortly before 9 am. It is the ship Open Arms which is transporting 150 tons of humanitarian aid consisting mainly of dry food, water and medical supplies, as part of the “Amalthia” project.
Specifically, at 8:30 the ship moved to the point of the port where the platform was located with the humanitarian aid, which was tied to the ship, starting the journey which is estimated to last approximately 2 days.
The NGO to which the ship belongs wrote in a post on platform X that the help of about 200 tons of food (rice, flour, pulses, canned vegetables and protein). He says that along with the help of the UAE and the Cypriot Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the team is working to send as much aid as possible by ship.

At the same time, the Americans are preparing the floating platform, where the humanitarian aid will be unloaded, which will be transported to Gaza by small NGO boats, since Gaza does not have port facilities.
