Everything becomes crossover. Check out the new Megane. Batteries in the bottom, and to still have enough space inside, the car is slightly higher. The VW ID3 is actually quite high for this reason, 13cm higher than a Golf.

What really annoys me is that everything is called an SUV. And then there is a car without a ladder chassis, without 4 wheel drive (some have all wheel drive but that is not the same), and hardly any extra ground clearance.

Oh and we should have expected that Manta E unfortunately. Ford Puma, Mustang. Certainly more examples. It is not a stupid move, better to use an existing well-known name than a completely unknown name. I also think it’s stupid that they use such a name for a crossover, but from a marketing point of view it’s just smart.
