Ruesselsheim Like the five-door, the Sports Tourer will be available with a 1.2-liter petrol engine in the 81 kW/110 hp and 96 kW/130 hp stages and with a 1.5-liter diesel (96 kW/130 hp). The plug-in hybrid versions with 132 kW/180 hp and 165 kW/225 hp, which have an electric range of around 60 kilometers, will also be adopted.
With this engine, the Astra Sports Tourer can reach top speeds of between 199 and 225 km/h. According to Opel, the combustion engines consume between 4.4 liters of diesel and 5.6 liters of petrol, which corresponds to CO2 values of 116 to 126 g/km. Opel leads the plug-in hybrid with the WLTP standard value of 1.1 liters (CO2: 25 g/km).
Pure e-combi comes in 2023
In 2023, Opel also plans to launch the Sports Tourer as a fully electric version. In addition to the MG5 from the Chinese brand MG, which has been available since spring 2022, it would be one of the first electric station wagons on the market.
