Opel Ampera e-owners are asked to park outdoors after charging the car

It happens after a fire in two cars of the type Chevrolet Bolt in the USA. The Chevrolet Bolt is sold under the name Opel Ampera-e in Europe.

Press contact for Opel at the car dealer Bertel O. Steen in Norway, Stein Pettersen, says Teknisk Ukeblad that they do not know of any fire cases with Ampera-e in Norway, but that they, on a precautionary principle, also recommend that the cars be parked outdoors after they have been charged.

– Despite the fact that there have been no known cases in Norway or the Netherlands where almost all Ampera-e are located, we must follow the recommendation given by the manufacturer – in this case GM, says Pettersen.
