In its monthly report released today, OPEC lowered its expectations for global oil demand growth by 100,000 barrels per day in both 2022 and 2023.
OPEC also cut OPEC oil demand growth expectations by the same amount in 2022, reducing it by 200,000 barrels per day in 2023.
Turning to global economic growth forecasts, the organization maintained its growth forecast for 2022 at 2.7% and 2.5% in 2023.
