Onward to Victory: Ukrainian Defense Forces Make Advances in Melitopol and Berdyansk

The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to advance on Melitopol and Berdyansk, over the past day they have achieved success in three directions. This was announced by the representative of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Kovalev on the air of the telethon.

According to the representative of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian troops continue to carry out an offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions.

“In the directions Levadnoye – Priyutnoye, Malaya Tokmachka – Ocheretovatoe, they had partial success, they are gaining a foothold on the achieved lines,” the speaker said.

Partial success was also achieved by units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the direction of Privolye – Zaliznyanskoye.

According to Kovalev, on the flanks of Bakhmut, the Defense Forces are putting pressure on the invaders, knocking them out of the previously captured lines – they have achieved success, are gaining a foothold on the achieved lines.

The units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to hold back the offensive of Russian troops in the Limansky, Avdeevsky and Maryinsky directions.

On June 22, 2023, the General Staff reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine were continuing their offensive against Melitopol, Berdyansk and Kremennaya. The center at the Ministry of Defense said that the Russians can use the reserves to launch counterattacks. Minister of Defense Alexey Reznikov stated that the de-occupation by the Defense Forces of a number of settlements in the south and east is not the “main event” of the Ukrainian counteroffensive.
