Stuttgart – In many parts of Baden-Württemberg there is a lot of snow, and it is getting more every day. In Stuttgart, however, one waited in vain for the white splendor – until early Sunday morning. The German Weather Service (DWD) had predicted for Sunday night that “widespread snow would fall” – and kept its promise. The roofs of houses in the state capital are white, many sidewalks – as if the people of Stuttgart had just been waiting for them – paved early in the morning. In the city center there are clearing vehicles, the Schlossplatz gives a fairytale picture in the twilight in the early morning.
According to the DWD meteorologists, two to five centimeters of fresh snow are possible in the entire country until Sunday evening. According to the forecast, the maximum temperature values are between minus three degrees in the mountains and plus three degrees on the Rhine. Even on Monday night, it should continue to snow in some regions. By morning, a total of three to ten centimeters of fresh snow is possible in the northeast and east of Baden-Württemberg, in the Black Forest and in the direction of Allgäu up to 25 centimeters of fresh snow.
