Only those whose hearts want to fly have wings… – 2024-10-01 20:22:39

/ world today news/ On June 30, 2002, the last classic of Bulgarian literature – Nikolay Haitov – passed away. Three days after that, an impressive procession of colleagues, journalists, friends, relatives and citizens from all over Bulgaria passed slowly in the unbearable heat along “Ruski” Blvd. In front of the National Library “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” was the place for the last “goodbye”.

Measured by the calendar, the time between then and now is neither much nor little. But if it were only the calendar… Nikolay Haitov left behind an extremely long literary, social and creative life, the dimensions of which are unlikely to fade away, unless Bulgaria really disappears from the map… Voivode Haitov was a writer and a person – a lightning rod for every Bulgarian trial. His energetic creative thought and his civic conscience reacted with lightning and thunder to every attack on the Bulgarian and the Bulgarian. His pen did not stink in any important battle, not only before the “changes” of 1989, but especially much after. His civic position seemed to support his creative goals and Nikolay Haitov remained an uncompromising, passionate and bloodthirsty fighter for the preservation of Bulgarian culture until the end. And that included everything. Even especially, especially, the disputes about Levski’s grave.

Thank God, fate caressed him and today every Bulgarian, Bulgarian-Mohammedan or simply a Bulgarian citizen who is not mired up to the head in the democratic and Euro-Atlantic mire, can take a breath of fresh air by reading his unforgettable “Wild Tales”, “The Thorny Rose” “, “Trojan horses in Bulgaria”, “Who has an ear, let him hear”, the Diaries and several dozen other works that would be the pride of any enlightened nation.

Haitov’s immense talent could not fade with time. On the contrary. Most of the journalistic and folk-psychological texts of the writer sound like a revelation for today. That’s why the editors of “Nova Zora” take the liberty of publishing a fragment of the last – for now – research on Nikolay Haitov, the two volumes of one of his closest associates and collaborators – Lyubka Zaharieva, journalist, writer, editor, teacher and everything else with a plus sign.

The subject of education and the consequences of the dictates of the institutions of the Washington Consensus is huge, but Khaitov also manages to bring order to it with his vast knowledge of the mechanisms of power, of the new world order. Let’s not forget that it was Nikolay Haitov who started in Bulgaria the unequal battle with the octopus of George Soros – “Open Society”, and really managed to win several grand slams… But unfortunately, the dirty conspiracy against Bulgaria, and in general against the national and sovereign states, achieved its goals. It is enough to look around to convince ourselves. And let us have an ear to hear.

And yet, as if from somewhere came the harsh voice of Voivode Haitov, who confessed: “For me in life, only what I have won in struggle is sweet. I come from the forest, where I was castrated with an axe.” What can we say today, when even “axe pruning” seems too merciful to the dead grip of the new masters of the world. But Khaitov was a fighter – and he would have guided us like this – Only those whose hearts want to fly have wings…
