Only the state has borders, the nation has no borders, the Hungarian Minister of Justice, Judit Varga, declared on Thursday at the award ceremony, the Hungarian news agency reports MTI.
The Minister spoke about the fact that national policies stem from the differences between the borders of the Hungarian state and those of the Hungarian nation. A change of attitude has taken place since 2010, and the Hungarian government is helping Hungarian families, young people and businesses across the border with a series of tools so that their identities are not lost, but strengthened, Varga said, according to MTI.
We recall that the Hungarian government has been accused more and more often in recent years of pursuing revisionist goals in the region through its policies. Criticism came from officials in Croatia, Slovakia, Romania and Ukraine.
The “Lőrincz Csaba” award, which recognizes the work of those who strive for the spirit of Hungarian unity, said Judit Varga, was given to Balázs Tárnok, a researcher in the field of minority policies working in Slovakia.
Zsolt Németh, chairman of Fidesz’s Foreign Affairs Committee in the Hungarian Parliament, said Lőrincz Csaba was born in St. George’s. In the 1980s, he was persecuted by the Securitate and expelled from his hometown, so he went to Budapest, where he became an expert on minority policy, laid the foundations for national policies, and supported Hungarians across borders in Fidesz in the Hungarian Parliament. and in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
