Only decided in June: Graz’s budget does not last: city councilor Eber must improve finances

Graz’s budget doesn’t last. What critics had already predicted when the decision was made in June has now come true just over three months later.
This became clear in the dispute over the Graz theater. According to the budget, the opera, the theater and the company will receive € 20.1 million this year and € 20.7 million next year. However, the contractually agreed increase is 1.7 million euros – a gap of 1.1 million remains. Culture councilor Günter Riegler (ÖVP) should now fill them with savings.
