Only a third of De Lijn drivers are at work: on …

The strike of the three unions disrupts the services of De Lijn throughout Flanders on Friday. “According to a first cautious finding, it seems that a third of all drivers are at work,” the public transport company said Friday morning. De Lijn’s subcontractors are not taking part in the strike. Most nuisance is caused by the city networks and the tram networks. Discover via this link whether your bus or tram is running.

There is a lot of nuisance throughout the province Flemish Brabant, with the center of gravity in the Dilbeek region, the Pajottenland and all bus lines to Brussels. Although the buses are still in the process of starting up and it is therefore still a bit early to have a complete picture, it seems that only 1 driver in 10 is going to work in the large region around Brussels. To the airport of Zaventem, in the Leuven region and the Druivenstreek, a quarter of the drivers seem to be at work.

In East Flanders there is nuisance throughout the network. About a third of the buses run throughout the province. The urban networks of Ghent and Aalst are more heavily disrupted.

For the provinces Antwerp, Limburg and West Flanders there was little information available around 6.30 am to be able to properly estimate the impact.

The dial-a-bus exchanges remain closed today. Customers can book digitally. Certain dial-a-bus rides are not used today; all customers with a reservation for a canceled bus ride were notified by telephone yesterday, De Lijn reports.

For details about the nuisance, travelers can visit the stop page on the website, or use the app to find out whether their ride is running.
