Spokesperson for the COVID-19 vaccination of the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Nadia Tarmizi sites, said that only 5 districts/cities reached the target number tes COVID-19. Even though the test is very important to know the condition of the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia.
“Regarding the achievement of testing in the last three days, only five districts/cities have reached the target above 90%,” Nadia said in a PPKM press release via the FMB9ID_IKP YouTube channel, Wednesday (21/7/2021).
The five regencies/cities that have reached the COVID-19 test target are Central Jakarta City, South Jakarta, Surakarta City, Yogyakarta City, and Sumenep Regency. For districts/cities in PPKM level 4, achievements testing already good enough but need to improve, especially on weekends and holidays.
“Nationally, the number of testing The national level has increased, but specifically the achievement of testing and tracing targets in the PPKM level 4 area is still low, especially in the last 3 days, which continues to decline,” he said

COVID-19 tests on suspects and close contacts need to be continuously improved. It aims to find cases as well as reduce positivity rate. Close contacts also need to be found immediately so that treatment is carried out more quickly, preventing further transmission of the Corona virus.
“All regencies/cities must increase efforts to check close contacts, because the ratio of close contact checks with the population is still low, which is less than 5 close contacts per week. Meanwhile, our target is to have more than 9 close contacts per week,” said Nadia.
