JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Eight days since Restrictions Large-Scale Social (PSBB) Jilid II or PSBB Tightening enforced on Monday (14/9/2020), the level of shopping center visits at Jakarta experienced significant decrease.
Chairman of the Management Association shopping center Indonesia ( appbam) Alphonzus Widjaja revealed that the visit rate had dropped by about 50 percent when compared to during the Transitional PSBB.
“So the current level of visits is only around 10 percent to 20 percent,” Alphonzus told Kompas.com, Tuesday (22/9/2020).

According to Alphonzus, almost all shopping center APPBI members, particularly those in Jakarta, which must meet the 50 percent capacity set by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, experienced a decrease in visit rates.
Therefore, APPBI hopes that this PSBB will not be prolonged and have an impact on the community’s economy.

But it turns out, what can I say, the number of positive cases has not decreased so it looks like the PSBB will last a long time.
Moreover, the losses suffered since the first PSBB and Transitional PSBB, which reached around Rp. 12 trillion, cannot yet be covered.
“We have been doing efficiency for more than six months. Currently there is nothing that can be streamlined anymore,” said Alphonzus.
