The Fraenk tariff is implemented by the Telekom subsidiary Congstar. Compared to other tariffs at Congstar and Telekom, there is more data volume for 10 euros as well as the rarely available flexibility to be able to cancel the tariff monthly. The Freenet radio model offers significantly more data volume compared to the price, but Fraenk has one major advantage: the tariff includes EU roaming and can therefore be used in country group one without additional costs. It also runs in Deutsche Telekom’s stronger D network.
If you choose the tariff, all you have to do is download the app and use it to order your SIM card. It is not yet possible to take the number with you from the old provider. If this option is introduced, however, this will be significantly cheaper than before thanks to a new decision by the Federal Network Agency.-
The app idea is not entirely new: Almost a year ago, Freenet launched Funk, a discount brand that can only be booked via the app. The main difference: radio uses the Telefónica network (O2) and offers an LTE data flat rate without throttle (up to 225 Mbit / s) for 30 euros a month in addition to an Allnet and SMS flat rate. The tariff is billed on a daily basis, can be canceled daily, but cannot be used abroad.
