The view of the 268.3 km long track is amazing. Although this is not a mountain stage, as we will move to a maximum altitude of 140 meters, the riders still climb 2,562 meters.
The competitors will move from the starting city of Antwerp to Leuven, where a circuit has already been prepared, which will be covered eight times in total (1.5 circuits for the first time, 4 circuits for the second time and 2.5 circuits in the final). From Leuven, the riders will move to the Flanders circuit, which will be more challenging in terms of climbing, the winner must complete it twice. The final is in Leuven, where the final thirty kilometers await us.
During the stage, we can expect that the peloton of the originally 195 registered competitors will gradually narrow. Among the biggest favorites we must definitely take the home racer Wout van Aert and the Dutchman Mathieu van der Poel, the reigning world champion Julian Alaphilippe will also be threatened. We can advise Petr Sagan in a wider circle of favorites.
