This year has been and still is a special year: after the virus, we are dealing with a world that has lost its political and economic rhythm. We feel its effects every day. We want to counter this with something positive: people who have shaped the regions and society of Styria this year with great effort and great achievements. We are looking for the “chiefs of the year” again.
In four main regions (Upper Styria, Graz/Graz area, East-South-East Styria and West-South-West Styria) there are 35 applicants each in seven categories. They excelled in business and research, made their mark on the cultural scene, achieved sensational results in sports and as entertainers they made sure we still had something to laugh about. They were perfect hosts, appeared for the first time or did great things in the social field.
