Online survey launched to investigate attitudes about pandemic and vaccination in Uruguay

Vaccination is one of its fundamental preventive interventions in public health because it reduces the incidence of diseases and favors their control, elimination and even eradication and constitutes a relevant sign of equity.

The coronavirus pandemic highlighted the relevance of vaccines for many people who accept vaccines, but may have negatively affected those who were hesitant or had no information.

At a time when vaccination programs are facing a worrying scenario, in the region and in the world, with declining vaccination coverage, growth of the anti-vaccine movement, the hesitancy of the population to be vaccinated, and the consequent risks of re-emergence of diseases including those eliminated, it is essential to join forces to generate a positive impact on health professionals and also the population in general.

In this sense, ConfíaLA was proposed by carrying out an anonymous Internet survey available at the following link https://www.surveyon.com.br/ssiweb/2021/017-21-0001/uy/cgi-bin/ciwweb.pl?studyname=0001&ID=URY&hid_pagenum=1&hid_link=1&hid_javascript=1
characterize attitudes and practices in relation to COVID-19 vaccination, analyzing in particular the levels of adherence and confidence in vaccines, in the general population and health personnel in 8 Latin American countries, using a single data collection tool .

The information collected in this research will guide information and communication campaigns in Latin America and people from 14 years of age can participate. The data obtained will be treated confidentially and anonymously.

When the study ends, the results will be available on the web https://confianzaenlasvacunasla.org

The voluntary participation of society in this type of research contributes to the construction of ideas, suggestions and pertinent measures for the health of the community in general.
