The Tambora Police dismantled the practice of prostitution online which started through the Spray.com site. The pimp with the initials MC (40) offers women dating services on the Telegram application under the name ‘Big Pertamax’.
“The MC actors themselves get a profit of 15% from the results of offering women on the BIG PERTAMAX Telegram account with a price range of Rp. 2-4 million. Most of the women do not live with the perpetrators, they only act as intermediaries if there is a masher who is interested,” said the Tambora Police Chief Kompol Putra Pratama in his statement, Sunday (22/1/2023).
Putra said there were 60 women in the Telegram group who came from Jakarta, Bandung and Malang. MC was arrested by the police at the Pulogadung area apartment, East Jakarta.
“There are around 60 women who have joined the MC’s Telegram group,” he said.
Apart from MC, the police arrested three women who are currently still serving as witnesses. MC (24) was charged with Article 295 in conjunction with Article 506 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 30 in conjunction with Article 4 paragraph 2 letter d of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 44 of 2008 concerning Pornography and/or Article 2 paragraph 2 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 21 of 2007 concerning Trade People.
“We have designated the account owner as well as the Telegram group admin as a suspect,” said Putra.
