Tlaxiaco, Oax.- Higher education will no longer be the same after the Covid-19 pandemic; In the new normal, online education will be combined with face-to-face education, said the director of the Technological Institute of this municipality, Sergio Faustino Villafuerte Palavicini.

He added that for the Institute it is essential in the planning of the return to the classrooms, to have service areas enabled and available for 1,290 students and the workforce of 110 people of this institution.

Like the other levels of education, classes will start when the authorities and conditions so dictate, he said.

In the event of the Governor Alejandro Murat’s tour and delivery and start of works, the head of the Institute indicated that distance education will be integrated into the system because the conditions require it, and they are in that process.

“We are in the process of returning to classes, we want young students to have facilities in the best conditions,” he said in front of the state president.

In Oaxaca there are 13 technological institutions in Mexico, with a school community of 23,705 that require various investments.

The investment in this campus was reported to be about 70 million pesos and in the 13 institutes almost 500 million pesos.

The supervision was of works such as the departmental building, the multifunctional workshops and the beginning of the works for what will be the cafeteria for an amount of 10 million pesos.

It will be after the June 4 election that the works being developed will be delivered, authorities said.

Between the works, the cafeteria will have a capacity of 206 diners and whose works have begun to be carried out.

Likewise, the president of the Student Council and vice president of the South Zone of Technological Institutes, Eduardo Sánchez, asked Governor Alejandro Murat for a Sports Unit, of which there is already a project on paper.

That proposal includes two basketball courts, a fast soccer field, a soccer field and a running track, as well as recreational activities.

“In the state of Oaxaca, talents have been reflected, but because it is one of the marginalized states, they have not had the necessary support. As athletes we notice the deficiency of material and infrastructure and that despite the barriers we have given good results ”, he said.

Therefore, to be better, they asked to fulfill this dream at the Technological Institute of Tlaxiaco.
