6:04 – The daily increase in proven cases of covid-19 in the Czech Republic returned above 8,000, with 8076 more infections on Monday. This is the highest increase on the first working day of the week since the onset of the epidemic. The previous Monday was almost 3,800 fewer cases. The statistics of Monday evening added another 12 deaths, a total of 1,513 people died with covid-19, and there are 46 deaths on Monday.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, there were 3,721 people in hospitals. Since the beginning of March, almost 182,000 people have become infected in the country, and about 75,000 have recovered. There are currently over 105,000 people in the Czech Republic, most of those infected are mild, but the number of hospitalized patients is growing, as is the number of patients with a severe course. On Sunday, 589 hospitalized persons required intensive care.

In Slovenia, a night curfew will apply from 21:00 to 06:00. In the Austrian federal state of Upper Austria, which borders the Czech Republic, stricter measures are in force, such as mandatory registration in restaurants.
