Last season, Sagittarius started in twelve matches, in which he scored four times and it should be added that he is still only 19 years old, so he was deservedly ranked by one of the leading French dailies among the 50 most talented juniors in the world.
–
Surprisingly, Dávid Strelec defeats Róbert Boženík, so that the talent of Slovan Bratislava, who already joins the whites on a regular basis, becomes the holder of the Petr Dubovský Award.
–
We are already moving to the category of the best player under the age of 21, which will also be announced by Mrs. Dubovská.
–
The winner is the goalkeeper of AC Milan Mária Korenčiová, who recorded many important interventions last season, and therefore deservedly wins this award.

Dominika Škovránková, who has won this poll several times, will not win today and will finish in the silver medal.
–
Patrícia Hmírová, who currently works in the Polish league, took third place.

We can go into the first category and that is the declaration of the footballer of the year.

However, as he noted, the point gained can be considered very important at the end of the qualification, even though it seems like a loss to us at the moment. However, we must remember the great success of last year, and that is the move to the EURO, which has been postponed until this year due to the pandemic.
–
Moderator Slávo Jurko started the beginning of the 28th year of the Footballer of the Year poll, while at the beginning he mentioned yesterday’s unfortunate result of our national team against Cyprus.
–
Only players from foreign competitions made it into the top ten, so we won’t find a single Fortuna League player in it. Of course, the Top 10 does not lack a recorder in the number of victories, Marek Hamšík, who won this poll eight times, or Martin Škrtel, who is the second most successful with four victories. Only these two players won from 2007 until last year, when their hegemony was stopped by Milan Škriniar.

Tonight we will learn the name of the best Slovak footballer for 2020, while the victory will be defended by Inter Milan tracker Milan Škriniar. The survey is traditionally organized by the Slovak Football Association together with the daily Pravda and this year’s awards ceremony will take place at the Senec Hotel in the presence of a limited number of people, but due to the valid rules for the pandemic, without the presence of the general public. In addition, we will learn the name of the winner of the award Petr Dubovský for the best player under 21 and the name of the winner of the award Jozef Vengloš for the best coach, last but not least the name of the footballer of the year. However, one winner is already known even before today’s announcement of prizes, as the best player of the Fortuna League was already announced in advance by the Hungarian midfielder of the Danube Center, Zsolt Kalmár, who overtook Dominik Greif and David Hrnčár.
