Samsung is preparing to provide users with a function that will allow us to take even better care of the condition and life of the battery. This will appear with the update OneUI 6.1which we can expect with the debut of the flagship Samsung Galaxy S24 series.
The new leak precisely describes the features that await us in the new OneUI. It’s about option Protect your batterywhich is intended to help extend the life of the phone’s battery.
OneUI 6.1 with new battery charging modes
Samsung is to bet on new battery protection modes – Basic, Adapt and Max on their flagship phones. According to leaks, Basic mode will stop charging at 100% and resume it when the battery level drops to 95%.
The adaptive option will make our phone stop charging at night after reaching 80% charge, and it will only finish charging just before we wake up. To start with, the smartphone will have to learn your habits and sleep times so that it charges at the right times in the morning.
The last option, Max mode, will permanently limit the charge level of your Galaxy phone only up to 80%. At the moment, there is no information about the mode that would allow us to choose the percentage to which we want to charge our smartphone.
The novelty will probably appear only in flagships. Perhaps subsequent updates in the future will also provide it to mid-range players?
