The public still has fresh memories of this device, and OnePlus on the Chinese social network Weibo has already announced yet another event, which will take place on January 13. According to the image of the teaser, the company may reveal some new mysterious screen technologies.

The image posted by the official OnePlus profile on Weibo says nothing, except for the fact that the event will be held on January 13 in Shenzhen, China, and it will talk about some new screen technology (obviously, for a smartphone). In addition, there is a display outline without a cutout.
Perhaps the company will show the technology of sub-screen cameras that Oppo and Xiaomi previously demonstrated? But even if this happens, this technology will not be used in the upcoming OnePlus 8. Thanks to the leakage of 3D CAD layouts that occurred several months ago, we know that OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro will use perforated displays. In addition, the OnePlus 8 Lite design leak last month also revealed that the smartphone will receive a perforated screen, although the prototype used a cut-out screen in the style of OnePlus 6.
