OnePlus plans to dramatically improve the biggest weakness of its phones

OnePlus flagship brands have attracted uncompromising equipment, thanks to which they can boldly compete with the best competition. The only exception is perhaps the camera, which does not embarrass, but is still far from the absolute top. The competition can, for example, have multiple optical zooms, but we will not find a periscope zoom camera for OnePlus phones this year either.

OnePlus wants to be number one among photo cars

OnePlus boss Pete Lau talked about the camera on a Chinese microblogging network Weibo. Lau admitted that OnePlus cameras are not among the best, but the situation should change in the future. OnePlus will invest huge sums in this segment, with the timid goal of becoming the market leader.

It is speculated that OnePlus has established cooperation with the Leica brand, so it is possible that this is one of the pieces of the puzzle. After all, Leica has been collaborating on Huawei to develop mobile cameras for some time, with some of the best cameras on the market.

We do not yet know whether we will see a radical improvement in photographic results with the OnePlus 9 model line, or whether OnePlus will keep its trumps for later. But Pete Lau certainly has reasons to mention camera improvements now.
