OnePlus Open marketing images leaked online
The upcoming jigsaw will impress with its very thin body
The premiere will reportedly take place next week
OnePlus is gearing up to unveil its first bendable smartphone. The fact that the premiere is already around the corner is evidenced by a recent exclusive video by YouTuber Unbox Therapy and a newly leaked set of press images that reveal the upcoming puzzle from all sides.
OnePlus Open: will you choose glass or leather?
OnePlus Open will be a book-type smartphone à la Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, which will undoubtedly be its main competition. The Chinese company will go into the fight with several interesting advantages, but it will probably lose in some areas – we do not count, for example, water resistance.
According to the press images, the phone will be offered in two color variants – green with a glass back or black with a faux leather back. Whether you choose one or the other variant, you can look forward to a premium-looking device that impresses with its low thickness when closed or open. For its first folding device, OnePlus designed a very compact joint that allows both halves of the internal display to be closed to the touch, so theoretically the thickness of the device in the closed state would not exceed 10 mm.
OnePlus Open will be equipped with two displays – there will be a 6.31″ display on the outside, and a flexible 7.8″ OLED panel on the inside. Contrary to previous speculations, it should not come from Samsung, but from the Chinese company BOE, while its main benefit is supposed to be an almost invisible fold.
Hasselblad branded cameras
The back of the phone will be occupied by a huge circular photo module, which is decorated with the logo of the Hasselblad photography brand, which will probably take care of color tuning again. A total of three cameras “reside” in the module, allegedly as follows:

The phone will also be equipped with two selfie cameras – for the outer display, it will be found in the hole at the top in the middle, for the inner one, it will crouch in the upper right corner. The OnePlus Open is said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and 16GB of RAM, with 256GB of storage to be offered.
Premiere next week
According to WinFuture.de, the OnePlus Open should be available next week, specifically on Thursday, October 19. The phone will get this name in all countries outside of China, where it will go on sale under the name Oppo Find N3. The phone will not be available for purchase in some European countries where the OnePlus and Oppo brands are banned from sales due to infringement of Finnish Nokia’s patents.
