This week, the OnePlus brand introduced the interesting Nord 3 smartphone, which has ambitions in the middle class to really stir the cards. But it is not the only phone that the Chinese company is preparing for the second half of this year – there has been speculation for a long time that OnePlus is also preparing its first “puzzle”. For a long time it was talked about as the OnePlus V Fold, but in the end it is said that the Chinese brand will bet on a more original designation.

According to reliable informant Max Jambor, the upcoming puzzle is supposed to be called OnePlus Open. We appreciate the decision to bet on a different name, because in the world of flexible devices it is currently “refolded” – we have the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, Xiaomi Mix Fold or Vivo X Fold. In OnePlus, they allegedly secured the name Open with a patent already in April of this year, and the names Prime, Wing, Edge or Peak were also allegedly in the game.
OnePlus Open will be a book-shaped smartphone, which according to recent information will be equipped with a flexible 7.8″ LPTO AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,900 × 2,100 pixels – the screen will thus have an almost square shape when opened. Externally, the phone is to be represented by a 6.3″ AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
In terms of performance, the OnePlus Open is supposed to be similar to the OnePlus 11 flagship smartphone. The chipset is said to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 paired with 16 GB of RAM, and the storage is supposed to have a capacity of 256 GB. The energy supply is provided by a 4800mAh battery capable of recharging with a power of up to 67 watts.
On the back of the OnePlus Fold we find a giant circular photo module, which should house three cameras:

In addition to them, the phone should be equipped with two selfie cameras – the one for the internal display should have a resolution of 20 megapixels, the one for the external 32 megapixels. The photography brand Hasselblad will take care of tuning the cameras.
The OnePlus Open is supposed to premiere quite soon – there is talk of August, that is, shortly after Samsung presents its puzzles this year. The question, however, is how it will be with availability – we are sure that Samsung will bring its flexible smartphones to the European market, but we will have to wait for a decision on OnePlus.
