OnePlus is expanding the new Nord series with two budget-friendly models. The Nord N10 is a 5G phone, the Nord N100 is the cheapest addition.
OnePlus has announced two new smartphone models within the Nord N-series series. In July this year, the OnePlus North introduced, as affordable 5G phone. Rumors soon spread that there was also a cheap one OnePlus Nord Lite was in the pipeline. That device has now been introduced, it concerns two models, the OnePlus Nord N10 and Nord N100.

The already available Nord is the most advanced model. The Nord N10, also a 5G model, is positioned directly below it. The cheapest addition is the Nord N100. With the Nord N series, OnePlus is launching an affordable range of models that offer a fast and smooth user experience. The Nord smartphones offer a long battery life, an advanced camera system and user-friendly software in the form of OxygenOS.
OnePlus Nord N10 5G smartphone
The OnePlus Nord N10 is the cheapest 5G phone from the Chinese manufacturer. The device will be equipped with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage memory and will receive a suggested retail price of € 350. What do you get for this?
The Nord N10 5G has a glass housing, the device has a 6.49-inch LCD display with a Full HD + resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. This high refresh rate can be found in many phone models this year and allows the user to scroll more smoothly, even when gaming and watching movies, a high refresh rate of the screen is noticeable.
The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. This screen protector dates from 2013 and unfortunately does not offer the best protection at the moment. For example, the top models are nowadays equipped with Gorilla Glass 7 Victus. A hole has been made for the selfie camera in the top left corner of the display. This offers a 16 megapixel resolution, video calls can be made in Full HD resolution @ 60fps.
A quad camera can be found on the back of this 5G smartphone. It concerns a 64 megapixel wide-angle camera, an 8 megapixel ultra-wide angle camera (119camera angle of view), a 2 megapixel macro camera and a 2 megapixel monochrome camera. Furthermore, an autofocus system and an LED flash are available.
Videos can be recorded in a maximum resolution of 4K @ 30fps. Thanks to the integration of dual stereo speakers with support for noise cancellation, the Nord N10 5G also delivers a good sound experience.
The OnePlus Nord N10 5G runs on the Android 10 operating system, over which the OnePlus OxygenOS interface is placed. The device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 chipset with 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM. This processor also makes 5G support possible. The memory can also be expanded with a microSD memory card up to a maximum of 512GB.
OnePlus has equipped the Nord N10 with a powerful 4,300 mAh battery that supports fast charging. The smartphone has Warp Charge 30T technology, with which a maximum charging speed of 30 Watt can be achieved. The fast charger is included as standard and can be used via the USB Type-C connection. This OnePlus smartphone is also equipped with a 3.5mm headphone connection.
Consumers can buy the OnePlus Nord N10 5G for a suggested retail price of € 350. The device is only available in the color Midnight Ice. OnePlus Nord N100 cheap phone with triple camera
Are you looking for a budget phone with a good user experience? Then the OnePlus Nord N100 can offer a solution. This smartphone will be equipped with a 6.52-inch HD + display. Unfortunately, this model does not support the fast 90Hz refresh rate.
If you think this is important, you can use the Oppo A53 to consider. Oppo and OnePlus are sister companies of each other. The A53 is almost identical to the Nord N100, but slightly cheaper. The two devices offer broadly the same specs – including an octa-core Snapdragon 460 SoC with 4GB RAM / 64GB ROM, a triple camera and a large 5,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charger.
Even the camera system is the same in terms of configuration. There is an 8 megapixel selfie camera available. A triple camera has been placed on the rear, consisting of a 13 megapixel main camera, a 2 megapixel macro camera and a 2 megapixel depth camera.
The Snapdragon 460 chipset must guarantee stable performance. As standard, the OnePlus Nord N100 has 64GB of flash memory, if you want to expand the memory, you can use a memory card.
The OnePlus Nord N100 runs on the Android 10 OS in combination with OxygenOS 10.5. This offers features such as Dark Mode, Zen Mode and numerous personalization options, to design the phone according to your wishes. From the design of icons to fingerprint animations, everything is adjustable.
The Nord N100 will be released in Midnight Frost for a suggested retail price of € 200. In comparison, the Oppo A53 can be bought for € 180 and seems to offer everything the Nord N100 offers + a 90Hz display. The latter model is available in the Netherlands in the colors Electric Black and Mint Cream.
