OnePlus Nord N10 5G and OnePlus Nord N100 are to receive only one major system update. This means that both cheap models with OxygenOS will stop at the Android 11 version. It’s a joke – users will be furious.
OnePlus, by launching the Nord series, has raised the expectations of users who expect good quality software also in the middle shelf.
Unfortunately, it turns out that it was written with a finger on the water, because cheap smartphones of the Chinese manufacturer are to receive 1 – in words “ONE” – software update. OnePlus Nord N10 5G and OnePlus Nord N100 it’s laughing fans in the face.
Not too bad if OnePlus meant Android 12. It’s still poor, but it doesn’t look tragic. However, there is a problem that the service points to AndroidCentral – and it’s hard to disagree with them.
Both mediums debuted with Android 10 on board. If he meant Android 11 when he said that smartphones will get ONE update, it stops getting funny. It’s just sad.

I will leave the interpretation to you – I agree with the sentence he presents AndroidCentral. Below, the full manufacturer’s statement in my translation (original in the source):
OnePlus Nord N10 5G and N100 will receive one major Android update and two years of security patch support. This plan is standard in the affordable segment to which both models belong. As always, we will listen to the reactions and opinions of our users and look for the best ways to improve our software.
I would suggest that you hold off buying one of these models until OnePlus says something more about it (read: it will bow to the madness of users who have already bought them). Let’s be honest – the only reason to buy them at this price is OxygenOS, or software. If it is not updated, the reasons disappear.
