Global technology company OnePlus has just presented Active CryoFlux, a new active cooling technology with an imaginative design. Active CryoFlux is a new cooling technology embedded in the OnePlus 11 concept smartphone which was shown at the Mobile World Congress 2023 (MWC 2023). This international event also featured the OnePlus 11 5G, a new smartphone device from OPPO which was co-developed with Qualcomm and Perfect World Games and has amazing Augmented Reality (AR) and Ray Tracing technologies.Active Cryoflux, the Future Active Cooling TechnologyActive Cryoflux is a key feature in the OnePlus 11 5G concept smartphone. Active Cryoflux can be said to be a game-changer in the device’s cooling system which can lower temperatures by up to 2.1℃ and increase frame rates by up to 3-4 fps when playing games2. Active CryoFlux can also lower the temperature by up to 1.6℃ when charging the battery, so the time needed to fully charge it is reduced to 30-45 seconds. With this innovation, OnePlus has managed to bring a cooling system that is commonly used in PC gaming to smartphone devices. Active CryoFlux is a sophisticated cooling system consisting of two piezoelectric ceramic micropumps (piezoelectric micro pumps) in the middle and connected to a pipeline flanked by upper and lower diaphragms. These two micropump units are installed in a small gap measuring from 0.2 cm³ and function to drain coolant without making the device heavier and thicker. The OnePlus 11 concept is able to show that the Active CryoFlux inside is not only technologically advanced, but also has a beautiful design. This futuristic-designed device has curved unibody glass, smaller bezel sizes, and side pull-ups measuring 5.04 mm.
This device also has a semi-transparent back cover so that users can see the beauty of the coolant flowing in the Active CryoFlux pipes. The back cover also has a magnetron-sluttering layer which is created by depositing small amounts of metals and alloys using an electric field. The camera lens on the device shares the same aesthetic. Cooling liquid from Active CryoFlux flows through a small tube that surrounds the camera like a halo phenomenon. In addition, the lens area is surrounded by Guilloché etching which is a decorative technique for carving detailed patterns. Guilloché etching is commonly used in luxury watch designs, and this time, OnePlus is the first to apply the traditional watch design to a smartphone device and create a device that is fashionable, artistic, and high-tech. OnePlus 11 Specifications LeakedWith Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the OnePlus 11 5G has hardware accelerated ray tracing technology which is capable of simulating light effects in real-time. To present better in-game ray tracing technology, OnePlus collaborated with Perfect World Games to showcase the device’s ray tracing capabilities in Tower of Fantasy gameplay. The OnePlus 11 5G is the first smartphone to have the Snapdragon Spaces platform. With this platform, developers can create new Extended Reality (XR) experiences and explore the potential of headworn Augmented Reality (AR) technology, where this XR technology can be applied in live concerts, movie screenings, and other exclusive events.
In addition, the Snapdragon Spaces platform can function as a remote controller when paired with the Snapdragon XR2 AR Wireless Smart Viewer, thereby increasing the excitement when playing videogames with AR technology. The collaboration between OnePlus, Qualcomm and Perfect World Games will create a technology that can display ray tracing accelerated content through AR Wireless glasses. OnePlus 11 5G has up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB ROM with UFS 4.0 which ensures maximum power as well as high efficiency. To further improve the performance of the device, the OnePlus 11 5G comes with RAM-Vita. With a 100W SUPERVOOC Endurance Edition battery, charging the OnePlus 11 5G doesn’t take long so users can use the device when needed. The OnePlus 11 5G also has a 6.7-inch 2K 120Hz Super Fluid AMOLED Screen with LTPO 3.0.
