In addition to the OnePlus 8 series, OnePlus will also launch a new wireless charger.
Pending the official unveiling of the OnePlus 8, the Chinese smartphone brand is slowly revealing some information. We already knew what the processor was going to be and we also discovered that the series would benefit from a display in stoneware. Now, OnePlus itself announces that there will also be a corresponding OnePlus gadget; a wireless charger.
OnePlus announces the Warp Charge 19 Wireless on its own website. This is a charging station that supports 30 Watt wireless charging, including for the next OnePlus 8 series. With the gadget, the upcoming device (according to expensive Pete Lau) would be charged 50% in a half hour.
In his own words, the OnePlus Warp Charge 30 Wireless will get a unique design. “To achieve these significantly improved charge rates, we had to combine the first insulated charge pump with a Warp wireless direct charge architecture.” No one knows exactly what it means, but in any case, the brand promises 97% charging efficiency. This means that only 3% of the energy consumed would be lost in the form of heat, which is quite impressive.
By the way, the gadget will be of no use to you if you plan to buy a OnePlus 8, as rumors say that only the OnePlus 8 Pro will support wireless charging. The award-winning veteran said nothing about it in the blog.
