This topic was written by Sultan Al-Qahtani – OnePlus is scheduled to launch the OnePlus Ace 3 smartphone on January 4 in China. It is said that the name of the phone will later be changed to OnePlus 12R for the global market.
Ahead of the scheduled launch in China, the company has provided sample images of the OnePlus Ace 3. The images reveal natural colors, with excellent handling of light and shadow.
Compared to the Ace 2, the Ace 3 produces better images with balanced contrast. These improvements are largely attributed to the “Ultra Clear Image Quality Algorithm” and the “Super Highlight and Shadow Image Algorithm.”
However, the phone will also have new image sensors as well. Previous reports indicated that the phone will feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
Furthermore, initial rumors also suggested the inclusion of a 32MP telephoto camera, but OnePlus has reportedly nixed this idea.
Apart from that, the Ace 3 is expected to feature a 6.78-inch BOE X1 8T LTPO display with 1.5K resolution, 2160Hz PWM dimming, and likely a 120Hz refresh rate.
Internally, the Ace 3 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and will house a powerful 5,500 mAh battery that supports 100W charging.
