The editors of LetsGoDigital have just illustrated a unique patent that was filed by a Chinese manufacturer with the World Intellectual Property Office in 2020 – in June 2021 the project was approved.
This time the project is really amazing – it’s about being implemented in OnePlusie 11 Pro rotary camera module! The patent describes a camera system that can rotate 180 degrees, allowing you to create shots from very different angles. Here’s what such a design could look like:

In the patent itself, the manufacturer also describes “video recording mode with rotation“, Which would explain the use of such an unusual project. This is an interesting idea, although for many at the beginning it may seem redundant.
According to skeptics, we can freely rotate photos and videos in post-production, or simply rotate the smartphone while taking them. Without a doubt, however, such a project could diversify the process of creating a photo or video – I think it is worth giving it a chance.

An undeniable advantage of this solution is also the fact that the entire structure would also support optical image stabilization. It is worth mentioning, however, that the presence of such a patent does not give us certainty that OnePlus will decide to introduce this design to production in the eleventh generation.
