The German Center for Art History Paris (DFK Paris) and the National Institute for Art History (INHA) are jointly awarding a one-year scholarship starting on 1is October 2023. This scholarship of excellence is intended for researchers in art history at the start of their career (doctoral students and doctoral students, postdoctoral and postdoctoral students), coming from France, Germany or any other country. The objective of this program is to support scientific work proposing innovative lines of research and opening up new perspectives for the history of art. The need to carry out the project in Paris should be clearly established, as well as a thematic or methodological link with the research orientations of the two institutes.
The beneficiaries must reside mainly in Paris and work in close contact and in exchange with the two institutions.
The beneficiaries will conduct their research for six months at the German Center for Art History Paris (DFK Paris) and six months at the National Institute for Art History (INHA). They will thus be offered a stimulating working environment which will also facilitate their access to archives and exchanges with specialists from all countries.
The amount of the scholarship is for 12 months at 1750 euros per month (plus a monthly allowance of 250 euros as well as, where applicable, a child allowance). Beneficiaries are welcomed as researchers for six months at DFK Paris and for six months at INHA. In addition, the scholarship includes the allocation of a workspace as well as the use of the resources and infrastructure of both institutions.
Applications for the 2023 selection must be sent to the following address: stipendien@dfk-paris.org
