“One Way” Bawen Toll Road, Salatiga Arterial Road to Semarang Border Ungaran Severe Congestion

UNGARANKOMPAS.com – Vehicles that will enter the Gate Bawen Toll Road have to turn back because of enforcement one way.

The road to the toll gate is closed traffic cone and guarded by officers from the Semarang Police Satlantas.

Vehicles from the north or Semarang and will enter the toll road directed straight to Salatiga. Meanwhile, those from Salatiga were directed directly to Semarang.

Andri, a driver who will enter Bawen toll roadadmitted that he did not know that there was a closure of access to the toll road.

“I don’t know if it’s closed, so I have to turn again. I wanted to pass the toll road so the road wasn’t too crowded, but if it was closed, I had to go through the normal road again,” he explained.

Semarang Police Chief AKBP Yovan Fatika HA said all accesses to toll roads were closed.

As a result, the load on arterial road increased, starting from Salatiga, Bawen, Bergas, to Ungaran Semarang border.

According to Yovan, with such conditions, all personnel on duty are alerted to carry out traffic engineering arrangements.

“The volume of vehicles is indeed extraordinary. All officers are here to try to avoid traffic jams,” he explained.

He said, the application of one way on the toll road depends on the central analysis.

“Initially it was to Kalikangkung, this was extended to Bawen. For the time it also depends on the center, because conditionally depends on the situation,” concluded Yovan.
