APPELSCHA – The emergency services were alerted on Saturday at 7:10 PM to a one-vehicle traffic accident on the Oude Willemsweg in Appelscha. A motorist had ended up in the ditch near the intersection with the Bosweg.
The driver ended up on the side of the road for unknown reasons and lost control of the car. The vehicle then came to a stop on its side in a ditch.
Fortunately, the occupants escaped unscathed and were helped out of the vehicle by a bystander.
The emergency services arrived on scene, including the Appelscha fire brigade. After checking it turned out that no one had been injured. The car was damaged and has been recovered.
